Waterproof Ink & Jet Mugs

We have water resistant ink available - the price is the same. Historically, we sell 80% standard and 20% water resistant ink.

In general, water resistant ink is more sensitive to the type of paper it is printed on and it tends to spread a bit more.

The variety of paper available is large and it is impossible to have data on performance of water resistant ink on all these papers.

Another factor is that some customers are very happy with the dark print, others scrutinize the letters with a magnifying glass hunting for the ‘feather’ off the odd letter.

In the circumstances, we normally recommend to get standard ink and then, next time ink is needed, get (1) 60cc bottle of waterproof ink (or get an additional waterproof bottle at the beginning). If your test is positive then from that time onward, you can order the water resistant ink.
