LifeView Encoder

The LifeView Encoder is a stand alone unit which converts the VGA display signal into an NTSC or PAL display signal. A TSR (Terminate, Stay, Resident) software switch selects the system, NTSC or PAL.

With LifeView Encoder you can:

  • Record Computer Graphics on VCR or output directly to the TV Screen.
  • View the computer display on any TV monitor.
  • Effectively remove flicker from TV image.
  • When used with The LifeView Video II, 24-bit video capture card, you can overlay graphics on video or video over graphics. In general, you have a two-way system to import and export video and audio signals.

Overview:

The LifeView Encoder is an external stand-alone unit which converts the VGA display signal into an NTSC or PAL signal. With the LifeView Encoder you can record computer graphics to a VCR or directly display them on a TV monitor (simultaneous viewing of the VGA and TV images). The LifeView Encoder supports both the NTSC and PAL formats. By combining the Encoder with the LifeView Video II, image processing/video digitizing card, you convert your PC into a multimedia workstation. You can import and export video and combine computer graphics with live video. Because of the dual standard characteristics, you can use the LifeView Video II/ Encoder combination to convert signals from NTSC to PAL and vice versa The LifeView Encoder supports SVGA and lower resolutions with optimum picture quality.
