| Olympus D 620L
The Olympus D-620L combines a high-resolution CCD (1.4 megapixel 1280 x 1024), a
light-weight, built-in 3X zoom lens and TTL (through the lens) viewfinder, and an external flash
sync/PC connector for professional quality shots in studio settings and an innovative design inspired
by the Olympus IS series 35mm ZLR cameras for a true photographic experience.
Speed
Memory buffers allow for nearly instant consecutive shots, while not waiting for the camera to
"process" the shot. The new burst mode allows photography of 3.3 frames per second in even the
highest resolution of nearly 1 megabyte files. Three quick focus settings assist the user in making the
camera respond to the shutter button immediately. These three features make the D-620L the first
digital camera to be fast enough for action or sport subjects.
Power Management
Battery consumption is a concern for digital camera users. The D-620L addresses this with
long-lasting Nickel Metal Hydride batteries and an intelligent battery recharger. The camera has a
new battery saving mode that further decreases battery consumption.
External Flash
The D-620L incorporates a new flash system, which includes an external flash connector that
enables third party flash systems to be connected to the D-620L. The on-board pop-up intelligent
flash works up to 15.7 feet and with the external sync, it now provides six modes: auto
low-light/back light, red-eye, fill-in, forced off, fill-in with external flash and external flash only.
Professional Camera Features
Manual spot metering compensation for difficult lighting conditions; TTL exposure, white balance,
and viewfinder; exposure compensation with +/- three step EV control in 1 step increments and
manual white balance override measured in the Kelvin temperature scale.
A 43mm threaded barrel to accept a variety of lens accessories, including the Olympus wide angle
(28mm effective), telephoto (150mm effective), macro lenses, and filters.
The 3X zoom lens features a seven-element aspherical all-glass f2.8 design with a focal length of
36mm - 110mm and macro capabilities. The macro mode permits close-up focusing from 11.8" -
23.6". Standard focus range is 23.6" - infinity.
Streamlined Operating System
A bright 1.8-inch smudge resistant LCD panel is provided for image review and direct printing to
the Olympus P-300 personal photo printer. The new operating menu system allows the D-620L to
elegantly interface and control the Olympus P-300 printer. The user can choose to print all images,
tag certain photos with specific quantities to be printed, or specify snap shot sized or 16-up stickers
without a computer.
What's Included?
The D-620L includes nickel metal hydride rechargeable batteries and charger, an 8MB Olympus
