| Olympus D 340L
The D-340L -- 1280 x 960 resolution, the third in this award-winning series of digital cameras from
Olympus, more pixels than anything else in its class. Easy to use and understand -- save files in an
industry standard file format (JPEG) that virtually any image editor, word processor or desktop
publishing application can use and recognize. Fully automatic, simply press a button to focus as
close as four inches, take up to 10 shots automatically in half-second intervals, electronically double
image size or create stunning panoramas and other special effects using the software that's included.
A connector for optional PCMCIA or an Olypmus FlashPath 3.5 inch floppy disk adapter, allows
users to download images without the use of cables. To use the FlashPath adapter, place the 2, 4,
or 8 MB memory card in the adapter to fit in a 3.5-inch floppy disk drive. Direct connection to
optional P300 Personal Photo Printer for creating high-quality prints in under 2 minutes. Video out
for TV/VCR connector for large screen viewing or storing digital images on videotape.
Removable, reusable 4MB SmartMedia Card pre-formatted with panorama guides holds 9 - 60
images. Panorama stitching allows multiple images to be joined together for impressive panoramic
views.
The Digital Tele/Wide Mode gives the flexibility of a telephoto lens in a point and shoot camera.
Choose the standard/wide mode or the 2X telephoto mode for shots you want to bring in a little
closer. The built in 2-inch, smudge-resistant LCD display automatically activates when choosing the
digital Tele/Wide Mode for through the lens composition.
Beautifully designed, the camera is light weight at 9 ounces, and very compact - 5" x 2.6" x 1.8".
The lens barrier turns on camera when opened and blocks viewfinder when closed.
Popular camera features include a sophisticated four mode flash, with "red-eye" reduction, force-fill
flash, automatic low-light and back-light mode, and force-off to accommodate most all lighting
conditions. A high quality, all glass aspherical f2.8 Olympus wide-angle lens with macro mode
(equiv. to 36 mm on 35 mm film camera). -/+ 1-step exposure control for manually adjusting
exposure to insure optimum picture quality. Sequence shooting mode, a popular camera feature
now with digital technology to support it, allows users to shoot and capture up to 10 images in half
second intervals. Up to 10 images are written through D-RAM (internal memory) and saved to the
removable media for later review.
The D-340L includes 4 AA Alkaline batteries, a 4 MB panorama SmartMedia card, strap, serial
cable for Mac and/or PC, video connection cable for TV or VCR, Adobe PhotoDeluxe image
manipulation and creation software, InMedia Slides & Sound multimedia presentation software,
panorama image stitching software, Olympus Camera Utility Software for downloading images from
