Computer Friends was founded in 1982 out of an idea, a product and a dream. Not a dream of martinlutherkinghian scope but still qualifying, as we did not know if the dream dreamt would come true. It actually did.

The idea was how to save on printing costs, the product was a motor-driven device that re-inked dot matrix printer ribbons for (literally) pennies, the dream was to say one day ‘Over 50,000 sold’. This is why we called the product ‘MacInker’ (before the Macintosh) and we can now say ‘Over 300,000 sold’.

But the inaudible and noiseless foot of time never halts its march. And as we gazed at the immense number of computer applications we selected some and developed specific products for them.

Then, as printing technology evolved and jet-printers and laser printers entered businesses and homes we created new products, inks, toners and accessories to continue to slash printing costs.

We have set up a large number of companies in the business of providing local printer support with our products, inks and technical support. Our customer base is well over one million and users are found in ALL countries of the world.

We still pride in innovation, competitive products, extended technical support and a helpful and friendly attitude towards our customers.
